The second music video I directed for House of Broken
Promises is called ‘Obey the Snake’.
Conceptually, it’s about a character named Arthur Seay who
hits the streets of Hollywood looking for a little action with the
ladies. He eventually finds what he’s looking for, but along the
way he also learns something new about the hook-up game.
The process of making this video took a little longer that I
would have liked. Pulling everything together that goes into
this type of production can be very time consuming. When
you are working on a project as a labor of love, meaning you
believe in the artists regardless of the fact that you have no
budget, you find out very quickly how difficult it is to get
anyone to commit to work for free. But the ones that did come
through were stellar and really helped make this video happen.
I’d like to call out a dude named Kevin who really stepped up
and was a major player in bringing the entire project to life.
He’s one of Arthur’s buddies from Palm Desert, who happens
to be the owner of a stage lighting company. Kevin and his
crew put in a lot of time and effort to join the cause, and in
doing so, they became the reason the video looks as good as
it does. Much appreciation and many thanks are in order for
Kevin and his staff for being super-generous, and letting us use
all that kick ass lighting equipment.
Having a built-in fan base waiting for something new to drop
and promoting the product while you’re on the road really
helps a video like this find success. But every viewer or new
fan can help. So if you like what you see, pass it along. The
more visibility it gets puts us that much closer to creating the
next one. So far, the learning experience has been awesome!
H.O.B.P. is proof that rock is still alive! I've been pumping them ever since you introduced them to me!

All I'm trying to do is help spread the word about some kickass rock music.
